A creator business in Sri Lanka is a pile of brand decks, a WhatsApp group, a foreign platform payout, and a cousin who says “just put it under other income.” That is not a books system. When the accountant asks which deals were barter, which were cash, and which invoice is still unpaid, the camera roll is not an answer.
MyTracksy Creator records brand deals, a deal calendar and a signed-in ledger. Tax Review, Gear Vault, AI Studio and Auditor Export are on Pro. Tax Review is a planning preview for you and an adviser. It does not file with IRD, does not decide your residency, and does not treat platform terms as tax law.
Deal record, then money record
- Log the brand, deliverable and due date when the deal is agreed — not when the payment lands.
- Record the fee you typed, and whether it is cash, goods, or a mix, as a note you understand.
- When money arrives, enter it on the ledger against that deal.
- Keep gear purchases in Gear Vault if you are on Pro; on Free, keep them as expenses you enter.
- Export for your accountant. Do not screenshot the Tax Review screen and call it a return.
Foreign platforms do not keep your Sri Lankan file
YouTube, Meta, TikTok and brand agencies will not produce an IRD pack for you. Your workspace is the place those payouts become dated records in rupees you typed. Currency conversion, withholding, and whether a deal is taxable are questions for an adviser. MyTracksy will not answer them in your name.
