“IRD-ready” in a software headline usually means the vendor wants to file for you. That is not what MyTracksy does. IRD-ready here means: dated income, dated expenses, receipt images, and an export your accountant can open. Classification, exemptions, instalments and the return itself stay with a human who is allowed to file.
MyTracksy Tax is the workspace for Sri Lankan accounting practices: clients, engagements, filings you track, and fee invoices. It does not file with IRD, e-file returns, hold client money, or determine tax. Other professions keep their own ledgers and hand you a pack.
What a reviewable pack contains
- A general ledger of amounts the professional typed, with dates.
- A simple profit-and-loss summary on plans that include the auditor pack.
- A receipt index plus the images they captured.
- Notes that are clearly theirs — not “AI said this is deductible.”
If you are the professional, not the accountant
Use your profession workspace, not MyTracksy Tax, for the day job. Doctors start at MyTracksy Doctor. Lawyers at MyTracksy Legal. Engineers at MyTracksy Engineering. The Free vs Pro note explains which export sits on which plan. CSV ledgers are widely available on Free; the fuller auditor pack is typically Pro.
If you are the accountant
MyTracksy Tax is for your clients, deadlines and fee invoices — the practice of running a firm. It will not pull your client’s MyTracksy Doctor file by magic. They export; you review. That separation is intentional. You remain the filer.
